Dear MBHS Alumni,

The Business Department at Mission Bay High School is in need of assistance in placing students from our Business and Computer Applications class in internships next term.

The students receive seven-eight weeks of classroom training including basic computer skills (Word, Excel and Power Point) and general business skills. The goal is to then send them out to various businesses for hands-on practical experiences that will provide the students with a quality work experience and your business with a responsible productive worker.

These internships can be either paid or unpaid. If unpaid, San Diego Unified School District covers their Workers' Compensation Insurance. The students are able to leave campus at 12 noon and can take the late bus home from Mission Bay at 3:30 p.m. We provide bus tokens for them to travel to locations throughout the city so the work time frame could be later if your business is located in a part of the city that takes more travel time from school.
